DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon is set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, near Junction 16 of the M4 motorway and just 3 miles from Swindon town centre. The hotel features a restaurant, bar and lounge, and fitness centre with gym. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and feature an LCD TV, telephone, hairdryer, and tea & coffee making facilities. This hotel has a lift.

Caen Hill Locks

Our excursion today takes us to Devizes and the famous Caen Hill Locks, a staircase of 16 locks on the Kennet and Avon canal. From here we head into Devizes town centre with the opportunity for a leisurely exploration of the shops and to obtain lunch.

Chippenham

We enjoy a leisurely morning in Chippenham, a historic market town with a population of over 40,000. The combination of old and new - with historic architectural gems and modern shopping centres - means there is plenty to explore. Next, we make the short drive to beautiful Bradford-on-Avon, where we enjoy some free time to explore before returning to the hotel.

Stonehenge

This morning we explore the extraordinary 4,500-year-old marvel of Stonehenge; with its world-class permanent exhibition, audio tour and newly refurbished café. This afternoon, we continue to the city of Salisbury. The magnificent Cathedral is well worth a visit, offering the chance to see one of only four copies of the 1215 Magna Carta.
