Brian has been working for G-Line Holidays
since 2018, and is our youngest tour driver, always offering a
professional and well-organised service. Brian
has a fantastic knowledge of the UK & Europe, with more
than 18 years of experience in the industry, from local bus
driving to continental tour driving, as well as holding
a Transport Manager qualification and Class 1 HGV licence.
The best part of the job, he says, is getting to explore new
and interesting places, especially in other countries
his favourite destination being Lake Como, Italy. Brian is also
a proud father and is currently studying part-time to achieve a
BA (Hons) Degree in International Relations.
Paul began working for G-Line in February 2020,
just 4 weeks before the first Covid lockdown was announced. A
knowledgeable, friendly, and personable member our driving
team, Paul has 23 years of industry experience, having
previously worked for Lochs & Glens Holidays, followed by a
stint at Tyrers Coaches. Paul particularly enjoys touring
in Scotland, closely followed by Continental Europe, and
loves that his job allows him to visit every corner
of the UK and meet a variety of people every week. The
most memorable moment of his career was his first
time operating a tour to the South of France, and he's
been hooked ever since.
Steve worked as a tour driver for G-Line
Holidays many years ago and in the summer of 2023, we
were very pleased to see him rejoin our driving team on a
part-time basis, alongside his commitment to
his independent hotel business. Steve is a longstanding
coach driver, having held a full PCV licence (for manual as
well as auto) since 1998. He has also achieved an Institute of
Advanced Motoring (IAM) certificate for Coach Driving and was a
member of the Coach Driving Instructor team at Johnsons
Coaches from 2000 to 2002. Steves favourite touring
destinations are sunny Brighton, the Isle of Wight, and the
Scottish Highlands.
Friendly and outgoing, Ian (nicknamed
"Treacle") has been a tour driver for G-Line
Holidays for a number of years and is known to our
clients for his positive attitude and infectious
smile. Ian has gained his HGV licence and has more than
20 years of experience in the coaching industry,
having worked for multiple reputable coach firms,
including Battersbys Coaches, Alfa Travel, and Shearings.
His favourite G-Line destinations include Killarney and
Belfast; Ian is our resident expert for all Ireland and
Northern Ireland tours, having a lot of driving experience in
this area. Outside of his work, Ian is a proud
father and a keen motorbike enthusiast.
Andrew has been with the company since early
2019, having previously worked in the Royal Navy, as a marine
engineer mechanic (MEM), followed by 5 years driving private
tours for Jacksons Coaches. A knowledgeable and courteous
member of our driving team, Andrew enjoys visiting new places
and meeting our regulars on board, as well as new clients. With
a love for the UKs South Coast, his favourite places to
tour are Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Sidmouth, Cornwall, and
Torquay. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys DIY and gardening,
cycling, and spending time with his wife and son.
Matt recently joined the G-Line team in 2024,
having worked previously as a coach driver in the corporate
hospitality sector looking after Premiership football teams
and F1 crews, as well as driving sleeper coaches for some
world-renowned corporate clients. Before joining the coach
travel industry, Matt has worked extensively in customer
service and business relations, in addition to volunteering for
many years for charities supporting the NHS. When he's not at
work, Matt can be found exploring the less accessible parts of
the Lake District and Wales in his Land Rover. His favourite
part of working for G-Line is getting to meet and talk to new
people every week.
Ian is the newest member of our driving team,
having joined G-Line Holidays towards the end of 2024. He has
extensive knowledge of the UK from his previous experience with
National Holidays and Alfa Travel, and is well liked for his
personable and friendly demeanour. Ians favourite place
to tour is North Wales, having lived there for several years,
as well as Devon and the South of the UK. When not working, Ian
enjoys following the rugby league, and getting out and about
discovering new places. The best part of working for G-Line, he
says, is the varied itineraries, the wonderful passengers, and
the advantages of working for a family-run business where you
are treated like a person and not a number.
