Ripon Market & Harrogate

We begin the day with free time in Ripon where the weekly market will be underway. This afternoon we continue to the Victorian spa town of Harrogate. Whilst here, why not visit the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, with its ornate fascia and delicious cakes.

We begin the day with free time in Ripon, one of England’s smallest cities, offering lots of independent shops, historic buildings, and the beautiful Cathedral. Today the weekly market is underway, with the market square filled with stalls from local traders, featuring a range of goods and local produce. This afternoon we continue to the Victorian spa town of Harrogate. With huge open spaces and broad tree-lined boulevards, antique shops, and abundant greenery, it is little wonder that the town is a frequent winner of ‘Britain in Bloom’ awards. Whilst here, why not visit the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, with its ornate fascia and delicious cakes.
