This multi-centred adventure takes us to the beautiful Scottish Highlands, boasting scenery and splendour aplenty. We have included visits to two castles plus a wonderful day exploring the diverse landscapes of the Orkney Islands with a local guide.

 

OUR HOTELS:

Angus Hotel, Blairgowrie

Situated in the Heart of Perthshire, the Angus Hotel offers a quiet environment alongside many helpful amenities, including a bar and lounge area, restaurant and leisure facilities which include a heated swimming pool, fitness centre and spa. All bedrooms are en-suite and feature a telephone, flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. This hotel has a lift.

Castletown Hotel, Thurso

This family run hotel is nestled in the curve of Dunnet Bay, within the picturesque fishing village of Castletown, and provides a restaurant, snack bar and WiFi. All bedrooms are en-suite and have a flat-screen TV, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. This hotel has a lift.

Day one takes us to Blairgowrie for an overnight stay and on day two we continue north to Thurso for three nights at the Castletown Hotel.

Orkney

Orkney - We sail to Orkney and are joined by a local guide for a tour of this wonderful Island. Experience the World Heritage Site of Skara Brae, the Stones of Stenness, The Ring of Brodgar, Skaill House and Scapa Flow. You will have time for lunch at leisure in Kirkwall before an included visit to St Magnus Cathedral.

Castle of Mey

Castle of Mey & John O'Groats - We head to the Castle of Mey, the much adored home of the late Queen Mother, boasting glorious views towards Orkney. No visit to this area would be complete without calling at John O'Groats, the most northernly point of mainland Britain.

Dunrobin Castle

Dunrobin Castle - After checking out and departing Thurso we enjoy a visit to Dunrobin Castle. Created in the style of a French Chateau, with fairytale spires and extravagant turrets, Dunrobin is one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited houses, dating back to the early 1300s! From here we continue south to Blairgowrie for our final overnight stay

On the day of departure, one of our small minibuses or cars will pick you up, at your door at the stipulated time and transfer you to the coach.
