Arundel Castle

This morning we travel to Arundel Castle, seat of the Dukes of Norfolk. Built in the 11th century the castle has been restored and added to over the centuries to become the superb attraction we see today - an ancient castle, stately home and delightful gardens. Later we journey to Bognor Regis for the afternoon. Be sure to enjoy the towns many parks and gardens, or just relax at one of the many cafés or public houses. The town also hosts a delightful promenade and a small pier.

Chawton House

We journey to Chawton House, an Elizabethan manor house that once belonged to Jane Austen's brother, Edward. Discover the 'Great House' referred to in Jane Austen's letters, now sensitively restored, relax in the peace and tranquillity of the gardens, and find inspiration in the lives and works of our women writers. This afternoon we enjoy some free time in Worthing. One of the biggest seaside towns on the South Coast, Worthing is a lively destination for shopping, eating, and fun by the seaside! It has a palm-lined promenade and the Art Deco architecture of Worthing Pier adds a touch of historic class to the atmosphere.
