This pre-festive tour takes us to the heart of England to visit the medieval cities of Shrewsbury and Chester, as well as a day at Blists Hill Victorian Town at Christmas. Get into the festive spirit and enjoy a magical experience at their atmospheric Christmas Festival.

OUR HOTEL: Buckatree Hall Hotel, Telford

Our hotel is an idyllic country house, offering comfortable accommodation with its own mature gardens and private lake. It offers a restaurant, bar, lounge, sun terrace and WiFi. All bedrooms are en-suite and feature a TV, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. This hotel has a lift.

Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury - En-route to the hotel, we visit the medieval city of Shrewsbury. With its black and white buildings, imposing Cathedral and a river which loops around the city, Shrewsbury is a delight to visit.

Blists Hill Town

Blists Hill Town - Experience the atmosphere of a bygone era and be treated to an array of traditional celebrations from the 1800s. Enjoy seasonal music from bands and choirs alongside fabulous festive entertainment from a group of actors. Of course, there will be time to do some Christmas present shopping in the small market and towns shops or explore the rest of the Ironbridge site.

Chester - Before heading home we will spend time in Chester, home to the unique 13th century 'rows' of half-timbered galleried shops, the largest Roman amphitheatre in Britain and a glorious cathedral.
