Our Hotel

Duke of Gordon Hotel, Kingussie

Our 18th century hotel looks out along the Spey Valley and offers a welcoming restaurant and comfortable bar with a mix of contemporary and traditional styles. All bedrooms are en-suite and provide TV and tea & coffee making facilities. This hotel has a lift.

Inverness

Enjoy some time free in Inverness, the northernmost city in the UK. Known as Scotland's 'Highland Capital', Inverness still however retains its market town feel, dating back to its early development. From here we head to nearby Loch Ness for a photo opportunity, before we return to the hotel to relax.

Dunrobin Castle

We include entry to fairytale Dunrobin Castle and its extensive gardens set in the dramatic coastal setting. Created in the style of a French Chateau, with spires and extravagant turrets, Dunrobin is one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited houses, dating back to the early 1300s! During the visit you will see a fascinating falconry display with Golden Eagles, Falcons and more.

Dolphin Cruise

This scenic excursion takes us for a short break in the friendly seaside town of Nairn, before continuing along the Moray Firth, to join a Dolphin Spirit cruise into the Firth. Whilst out on Spirit, you will have the chance to hear tales of the local history and folklore whilst taking in the stunning views across the water. Learn about the pods of around 190 Bottlenose dolphins in an area where they are particularly active and hopefully spot some! The Moray Firth is also home to a delightful array of wildlife, from seals and otters to an abundance of birdlife.

B, D

Strathspey Railway

We board the Strathspey steam train in Aviemore for a ride through glorious Highland countryside. On arrival in Broomhill, we disembark for the short journey to RSPB Osprey Centre at Loch Garten where a wildlife ranger will talk you through the osprey's activity. There's every chance of watching the birds feed their young from either a webcam or viewing the osprey nest through binoculars. The centre is located in an ancient pine forest with signed level forest walks with plenty other birdlife and red squirrels to see.
