Our traditional hotel, known locally as ‘The Alex’ has been an iconic feature of Fort William for the past 125 years. It offers a bar, lounge, WiFi, restaurant and coffee shop. All bedrooms are en-suite and feature a TV and tea & coffee making facilities. This hotel has a lift.
Highland Railway
Follow in the footsteps of Harry Potter on his way to Hogwarts, as we join the Scotrail train on a round trip of 84 miles to Mallaig. The journey takes you over the magnificent 21-arch Glenfinnan Viaduct, past the silver sands of Morar to the busy fishing port of Mallaig, where you will have free time to explore and stretch your legs before the return journey.

This spectacular day out takes us to Spean Bridge, with the Commando Memorial, along Glen Moriston to Loch Ness and Fort Augustus, where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Ness. We have time to explore and have a bite to eat, before we return along Loch Lochy to Fort William.

Enjoy a day at leisure in Fort William, with its dramatic setting on the shores of Loch Linnhe and under the mighty bulk of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. The town is home to the West Highland Museum, which houses a large collection of Jacobite memorabilia.
