Shrewsbury & Cruise
We begin the day with a visit to Shrewsbury. The town is packed with timed-framed black and white buildings among narrow alleyways, surrounded by the River Severn. We head to the riverside to enjoy a delightful cruise on the River Severn. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore the town at your leisure.
Ludlow Market
Enjoy a free day to explore our base of Ludlow, and its weekly market, from our centrally located hotel. The town has many fine examples of architecture from the Medieval, Tudor and Georgian periods, and an imposing 11th-century Castle situated on a cliff above River Teme, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh Marches.
Worcester & Hereford
After breakfast, we journey to the city of Worcester where we have free time to explore the city with its magnificent cathedral at your own pace. Later we journey to the ancient Hereford. The golden-stone cathedral, with its medieval Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, is a huge draw - but you can also wander among half-timbered houses and stroll along the Wye. Browse independent shops across the city - they're clustered along quirky Church Street - and explore the Old Market, transformed into an open-air destination for shopping, dining and cinema.
