Prepare to experience the Achensee Cog Railway and the nostalgic Ziller Valley Steam Train, ascend the Ahorn and cruise the Tyrol’s largest lake!

 

OUR ACCOMMODATION:

P&O Overnight Ferry

Our ship offers a variety of activities and entertainment whilst we sail to Europe. With three different bars, a casino, arcade room and cinema, there is plenty to do during your time on board. Your cabin, dinner & breakfast are included.

Overnight Hotel: Ibis, Novotel, Kyriad or similar

Our overnight stay hotel will be located in Germany and will offer comfortable, en-suite accommodation, restaurant and bar and will offer a lift or ground floor rooms.

Resort Hotel: Harmony Hotel Sonnschein, Niederau

A relaxing family run hotel in two acres of private park land, offering spacious light and airy rooms with a homely feeling. Facilities include a restaurant, bar & lounge, two heated indoor pools, two saunas and a steam bath. All bedrooms are en-suite and feature a flatscreen TV, radio, telephone, safe, seating area and fridge & kettle. This hotel has a lift.

 

HOLIDAY INCLUSIONS:

Your holiday includes return sailings with lower berth cabin from Hull aboard a P&O Cruise Ferry, dinner, bed & breakfast throughout, overnight accommodation en-route to & from resort, plus three excursions.

Ziller Valley

Ziller Valley - We journey to Fugen this morning and then join the nostalgic Zillertal, one of Austria's most famous narrow-gauge railways which and has been in operation since 1902. Our steam journey takes us through the picturesque Ziller Valley to the popular tourist hotspot of Mayerhofen, where you will have some free time to enjoy the lively atmosphere of this famous resort.

Lake Achen

Lake Achen, Achensee Cog Railway & Rattenberg - After a morning at leisure we venture down the Inn Valley and join the original Achenseebahn cog railway. Dating back to 1889, these are some of the oldest steam engines in the world still used for public transport. The train winds its way above the Valley to the shores Lake Achen where we enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Tyrol's largest lake.

Innsbruck

Innsbruck & Rattenberg - Experience the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck with a guided tour today, twice host city to the Winter Olympic Games. Explore the highlights of this charming Alpine city, including the most famous landmark of all, the Hofkirche or court church, and the iconic Golden Roof. En-route back to our hotel, we will make a stop at enchanting Rattenberg, the oldest and smallest town in Tyrol!
