The Freedom of Edinburgh

Explore Scotland’s lively capital city, one of the most popular and cultural destinations in Europe! With its historical landmarks, thriving visitor attractions and links to the Royal family, it’s no surprise that the City of Edinburgh has been awarded a World Heritage title. En-route home we visit Thirlestane, a magnificent 16th Century castle set in a meadow landscape, one of the oldest and finest castles in Scotland.

We return for yet another warm welcome at this Best Western hotel. Our hotel offers convenient access to the city centre, a restaurant, bar and leisure facilities including indoor swimming pool and gym. WiFI is available. Botanic Garden

Royal Botanic Garden - We take you to Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Gardens, one of the world's leading botanic gardens, offering fantastic views of the capital's skyline. You can discover its fascinating history, which dates back 350 years, learn about its plantings and walk around 72 acres of beautiful, awe-inspiring landscape.

Forth Cruise

Maid of the Forth Cruise - A spectacular 90 minute sightseeing cruise, where you will cruise under all three Forth Bridges and down towards Inchcolm Island. By far the best way to view the magnificent engineering of the Forth Bridge, The Forth Road Bridge and the Queensferry Crossing, plus a variety of amazing wildlife. If you are lucky, you may manage to spot some passing Dolphins, Porpoises or even Minke Whales have been spotted near Inchcolm!

Thirlestane Castle

Thirlestane Castle - On either the outward or return journey we will call at Thirlestane Castle, a magnificent 16th century property set in a meadow landscape, one of the oldest and finest castles in Scotland. You can tuck into an included light lunch before a tour of the Castle with a knowledgeable guide.

Edinburgh Zoo

Edinburgh Zoo - One highlight is a visit to Edinburgh Zoo, home to more than 1,000 rare and endangered animals including lions, camels, hippos, rhinos, monkeys, zebras and tigers, plus the Giant Pandas, Yang Guang (Sunshine) and Tian Tian (Sweetie)!
